Shane Sharp
Shane has worked in the recruitment and staffing industry for over 25 years. He began his career as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. After that, he joined the prestigious Pharmacological Program at the Naval School of Health Sciences in San Diego, CA. His passion is recruiting; and, as a veteran, he loves veteran owned businesses. The strong medical foundation as a Corpsman aided Shane in landing his first recruiting job with a nationally recognized firm; and, after working for many staffing companies, he formed Symbiotic Services. During the Pandemic, Shane realized that the landscape of the staffing industry and the way staffing companies do business had changed. If a business did not adapt, the business did not survive. Because of this pandemic induced, paradigm shift, medical recruitment for large national accounts became the staffing lifeblood. In this same vein, remote work for IT companies became the norm. Manufacturing recruitment required increased hourly pay, moving expense and rental assistance for candidates to fill the labor pipeline. For companies in the staffing industry, it was time to innovate or perish. Historically, the staffing industry worked to find appealing business models to net stronger results for clients and to increase its net profit, Post-pandemic a successful staffing business model requires stronger placement results measured by objective standards. Shane realized that both are needed, but very few of Symbiotic’s competitors had solved the riddle of how to provide stronger placement results measured with objective metrics. Under Shane’s leadership, Symbiotic developed a new model – Partner On Demand™ (POD) Model.
